Red Horizon depicts a stunningly vibrant  scarlet red sky that appears to be at battle with white clouds in an attempt to maintain its dominance over the landscape. The painting also features black trees, creating a sense of depth in the distance. The viewer is given a closer look at the painting through the pine trees that are covered in white snow on each side of the roadway. The reflection of the red sky on the snowy roads adds to the paintings allure. Adding to the aged feel of the painting, I included a horse and carriage in the foreground.  Overall, Red Horizon is a visually striking and captivating painting.
